Second Term Administration Excites Lagos State Referee Council Chairman, Set Sights On All-round Discharge Of Duties As He Debunks Talks Of Pressure

The incumbent returning Lagos State referee council chairman talking about Adams Salaudeen has revealed his excitement over the opportunity for a second term in office following the victory in the just concluded election where he was elected for a second tenure.

He talked about his past administration, the need to buckle up at this time for proper and all-round discharge of activities of everyone in the administration for a better score card result as he debunks talks of pressure for him in his re- appointment, Sports247.ng understands.

As revealed, it was discovered that the first tenure was described by the entire union as best for them which easily enabled thier preferred choice of candidate which they voted for in the course of the election.

Speaking on the good words of the people, Salaudeen said, “the activities on the day of election was really overwhelming especially when people are giving you positive feedbacks to your face, you feel emotional and know that people truly appreciate what you have achieved in previous administration.”

“That gave me a lot of courage that going forward, we need to do more than what we did in the previous administration,” he admitted.

Reacting to the president of NRA, Alhaji Tade Azeez’s appraisal of his team and also challenging him in areas of training as it was discovered that a lot of referees from Lagos failed thier fitness test during the NPFL assessment, the returning chairman has this to say;

“First, I must correct one impression which is that a lot of referees did not fail fitness test in Lagos, we were always getting 95% of our referees passing fitness test but even the failed 5% is unlike Lagos.”

“The cornerstone of our administration is to ensure that referees training is at the highest level in terms of theoretical and the practical.”

“We have been doing it by ensuring that the referees train regularly at least thrice a week collectively. However, being a negative feedback that we got, we tend to increase our activity in that vein.”

“For example, we have taken onboard the suggestion that we should get a coach, an athletic coach that will train our referees to be able to manage thier energy when they are in fitness mode.”

“This is what we are going to do because already, we have doctorate holder who is a FIFA referee and currently leads our referees in training apart from the training department.”

“So we can assist him with another coach to boost the fitness level of the remaining people that didn’t pass the fitness test,” he explained further.

On the pressure on his second term administration;

“I have no pressure, four more years isn’t putting pressure on me. Lagos is like a ready-made referees council. They are a lot of good referees, very young and you will be amazed at what they can do and even the elderly ones, I join in the training just to achieve the common goal.”
