Seamoriow U15 League: Kudus Adelowo’s Wonder Goal Plus Super Assist Give ADHOC FA 2-1 Win

A well-struck thunderbolt plus an expertly placed pass by Kudus Adelowo on Friday afternoon earned him a man of the match award and gave his team, ADHOC Football Academy of Ikorodu a 2-1 win at this year’s Seamoriow U15 League Championship in Islamic area of Ikotun, Lagos.

Sports247 reports that ADHOC FA, propelled by the technical acumen of Engineer Olawale Thomas and his assistant, Coach Emmanuel Adeyemi, stormed from a goal down to snatch victory against crowd favourites, Super Accurate FC, who went ahead with another wonderful direct free kick by their captain, Ayomide Obed (aka Indo Mie).

However, unlike Wednesday’s rampaging 4-2 win over Right To Smile FC, the boys of ‘Coach Super’ could not dominate play against the invaders from Ikorodu, whose second goal was notched home by the competition’s current second highest goal scorer, Abiodun Daniel in jersey number 10.

It was Daniel’s sixth goal of the cadet competition, which unfolds everyday at Seamoriow Sports Complex near Ikotun, where the highly promising lad hit home a hat-trick during his team’s 8-1 victory in their first match and he then got a brace in the second game.

Although he was marked stoutly during Friday’s game, Daniel played the role of a decoy in allowing Adelowo to make his own impact, much to the delight of onlooking assessors, commentators, analysts and journalists, who unanimously named him as man of the match at the end of the pulsating encounter watched by a mammoth crowd.

Dramatically, though, in taking note of the top-notch performance by both teams, the competition’s technical study group opted to include more players from both sides in various categories of awards to their most outstanding displays, especially as the two teams qualified for the quarter-finals, with ADHOC top of the group and Super Accurate second.

An independent technical assessment by Sports247 also singled out for recognition in the winning team Okechukwu Samuel, goalkeeper Fasasi Samad and Iwalewa Mustekeem, whose thunderous shot could have made it 3-1 had it not hit the crossbar.

On the side of Coach Idris’ Super Accurate, the outstanding players were Afeez Ibrahim, Olarewaju Koreem, Azeez Muritala and their goalkeeper, Ajibola Habeeb.
