Lagos based Nigeria National League NNL side, Vandrezzer has seen coach of the side, Henry Makinwa express dissatisfaction on how his side lost a week 17 game against a less fancied Adoration FC by 2 goals to nil.
According to the coach, lack of communication, avoidable defensive blunders and referee’s decisions cost the Lagos FA Cup champions a redeemable 3 points. Makinwa in his words, lamented the missed chances his boys failed to convert saying it was really a bad day irrespective of the fact that his side thinks the referee was not fair enough. ” I told the players not to focus on the referee but the defenders were talking to the lines man contemplating whether he raised his flag or not and before you know it, it was a goal…the officiating was suspicious sometimes but when we had clear chances, we couldn’t just score.’
Makinwa never failed to dish out blames on his boys not just for not taking thier chances when they came but also making costly mistakes as giving away goals to the opponent especially the penalty. ” Then the penalty.
