Head coach of Kwara United, Tunde Sanni, has expressed confidence that his side can overturn their narrow 4-3 first-leg loss to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup when they meet again in Abeokuta on Sunday.
Sanni admitted that conceding four goals in Accra was unusual for his team but praised his players for scoring three vital away goals that kept the tie alive.

“It was not like us to concede that many, but I must give credit to the boys for fighting back and scoring three times away from home,” Sanni said. “Those goals are very important for us going into the second leg.”
The coach believes his side will be a different proposition on home soil. “Kotoko cannot stop us here,” he declared. “We are a difficult team to beat in Abeokuta, and with our fans behind us, we will show our true strength.”
Sanni also noted that some key players did not perform at their best in the first leg but are expected to improve in the return match. “We had a few players who were not fully sharp in Accra, but back at home I am sure they will step up,” he explained. “We will also tighten up defensively and make sure we don’t give Kotoko easy chances.”
The coach urged his players to stay focused and seize the opportunity. “This is the kind of match that defines a team’s character,” he said. “We respect Kotoko, but we believe in ourselves. If we play with discipline and take our chances, we will go through.
He concluded with a rallying message to the fans: “Our supporters should come out in numbers. Their energy will push us to get the result we need,” Sanni stated
