Saint Finbarrs loses to Gregory in friendly

It was all fun at the famous Saint Gregory college ground in a match involving the old boys set of 2001 of the school and the set of 1994 set of Saint Finbarrs college.

 

The entertaining game was won by the home team with the scoreline ending 3 goals to 1.

 

Two of the goals were scored in the first half of the game before the half time whistle.

 

On resumption of the second half the two teams played cautious as not to concede goals but at the end of the second forty-five minutes both teams ended up scoring a goal at piece, with the game ending by 3 – 1 goal, the game could have ended up with more goals but Saint Gregory squandered several  scoring chances.

The captain of Saint Finbarrs college Dimeji Shitta said losing the game is not the ultimate but the bond and friendship generated from such game is the most important.

He also stated further that the friendly match embarked by his set of 1994 is in preparation to their forthcoming 25th anniversary that’s coming up in October, and that more friendly games are being worked out for the old boys in line with keeping fit at their age.
