Saiki Faults Her Non-inclusion In Falcons’ List

Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt midfielder, Mary Saiki has faulted her non-inclusion inn the latest list of players invited to the national team, Super Falcons.

Speaking to sports247.ng against the backdrop of the list of 29 players issued on Monday, Saiki said she felt a little bit slighted with her exclusion.

The players opened camp in Epe, Lagos on Thursday, ahead of this year’s Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON 2018) in Ghana, and Saiki says she felt hurt not to be invited.

However, the former Falconets star promised not to let the setback weigh her down, as she will continue to work hard to ensure she gets a recall.

“I felt bad not to be included,” Saiki confessed, “but that does not mean I will let affect my game.

“What I will do is that I will continue playing very well with my club, so that I can again catch the eyes of the national team coaches.

“As for those who are already in the national team camp, I wish all of them well in their quest for a successful tittle defence in Ghana.”
