Rohr Romps Into Enugu To Watch Rangers, Lobi Stars

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr will be in Enugu this weekend, as he aims to watch continental club action involving Lobi Stars of Makurdi on Friday and Rangers International on Sunday.

Sports247.ng learnt that the Franco-German gaffer is keen on giving some new players opportunities in the Eagles for the dead-rubber Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles next month, and says he will gladly invite any outstanding player from the two upcoming matches.

Lobi will battle Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in the CAF Champions League on Friday at their borrowed home ground, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, two days before the real owners, Rangers host Salitas of Burkina Faso at same venue in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Although Rohr will be at The Cathedral of Soccer to basically watch lads of Ranges and Lobi Stars, it would be an opportunity as well for Eagles’ Brazil 2014 World Cup revelation, Babatunde Michael to play himself back into the team.

Babatunde is currently on the cards of Wydad, but has not played for the Eagles since his sterling performance in a 3-2 loss to Argentina at Brazil 2014, such that he would love to daze Lobi Stars on Friday in a bid to get the nod from Rohr and relaunch his national team career.
