Rohr Reels Out Winning Formula For Away Fixture

Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has reeled out what he believes would be an effective winning formula for his team’s second leg Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya in the Tunisian city of Sfax.

The Eagles won the first leg 4-0 at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday, but Rohr says they must not get carried away by the achievement.

The Franco-German tactician termed it a dangerous result, because it is capable of causing his players to relax and think they can stroll to another win in the second leg on Tuesday.

However, Rohr opined that the result was not a true reflection of how tight Saturday’s match was, especially in the first half, but admitted it is a lift to his side’s psyche heading into the next game.

He also acknowledged that the Libyans had not lost a match before their capitulation on Saturday, hence his warning to his players that the hosts could go all out to prove a point.

Rohr espoused: “They are a good side and we are not going to underrate them.

“We are going there to play for the three points and hope to get a good result.

“We still see them as a top side that play hard. We will be ready for anything they throw at us.”
