North Texas SC have announced the signing of highly-rated teenage defender Zachary Molomo on his first professional contract, marking a major step forward in the career of the 16-year-old center-back.
The deal, which runs for two years with a club option through 2027, confirms the club’s faith in Molomo’s potential as one of the brightest young defensive talents in the United States.
Molomo, who joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2018, made his professional debut for North Texas SC in July 2024 against Houston Dynamo 2, showing maturity and composure beyond his years.
Earlier this year, he was called up to the U.S. U17 men’s national team for a training camp in Costa Rica, further underlining his growing reputation on the international stage.
Born in the United States to Nigerian parents, Molomo is eligible to represent both countries at senior level. Despite his involvement with U.S. youth national teams, the defender has openly spoken about his admiration for Nigeria and his long-term ambition to wear the green and white of the Super Eagles. He considers such an opportunity one of the greatest honors of his future career.
