Remo Stars Football Club President, Kunle Soname, has gifted a brand-new GAC SUV to midfielder Olamilekan Adebayo after he was named the club’s Player of the Season for the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign.
Adebayo played a pivotal role in Remo Stars’ historic season, contributing consistently with match-winning performances that helped the club secure its first-ever NPFL title.

His standout moment came when he scored the decisive goal in the 1–0 win over Niger Tornadoes, sealing the championship with three games to spare.
Speaking at the award presentation, Soname praised Adebayo’s dedication and influence, describing him as a symbol of the club’s growing ambition and excellence. The GAC SUV, he said, is a reward for exceptional commitment and a motivation for others.
With this triumph, Remo Stars became the first club from Southwest Nigeria to win the NPFL since 2000 and will represent the country in the 2025/2026 CAF Champions League alongside Rivers United.
