It’s celebration galore in Ikenne as Remo Stars Ladies’ striker, Olamide Bolaji, receives her first-ever call-up to the Super Falcons of Nigeria ahead of their double-header friendlies against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.
The buzzing Remo Stars Stadium, set to host one of the two fixtures, now holds even greater significance for the club faithful, as one of their own will don the green and white on the very turf she calls home.

Club teammates and staff couldn’t hide their excitement as they gathered to congratulate Bolaji during training on Monday.
The team marked the moment with cheers, applause, and a mini ceremony in the dressing room, complete with chants of “Super Olamide!”
“This is a dream come true, not just for me, but for the entire Remo Stars family,” an emotional Bolaji told reporters. “I’m proud to represent my club on the biggest stage, and I promise to give it my all.”
The Super Falcons, under Head Coach Justine Madugu, have listed 23 players for the friendlies, including established stars like Rasheedat Ajibade, Chiamaka Nnadozie, and Michelle Alozie. Bolaji’s inclusion signals the coaching crew’s intent to blend youth with experience as Nigeria intensifies preparations for the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The matches are scheduled for Saturday, May 31st at Remo Stars Stadium and Tuesday, June 3rd at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.
Remo Stars Ladies took to social media to share the news, posting:
“Proud moment! Congratulations to our own Olamide Bolaji on her Super Falcons call-up! Shine bright and make history!”
With her electric pace and goal-scoring flair, all eyes will be on Bolaji as she prepares to fly the Remo Stars flag high on the national stage.
