Remo Stars and Rivers United will feature in the CAF Champions League and will be hoping for favourable first-round ties. In the CAF Confederation Cup, Abia Warriors and Kwara United await their opponents in the preliminary round.
The 2025/26 season promises to deliver another exciting chapter in African club football, beginning with the Preliminary Round on September 19, 2025, followed by the Second Preliminary Round on October 17, 2025.
The Group Stage for both competitions will kick off on November 21, 2025, while the knockout stages are scheduled to begin on March 13, 2026.
CAF, building on the overwhelming success of last season’s interclub competitions, has decided to take the draw ceremony to Tanzania in partnership with Azam Media, a key broadcast partner in the region.
The event will be held in Azam’s studios and broadcast live at 13:00 local time (10:00 GMT) on CAF’s YouTube channel and through various broadcast partners.
The decision to host the draw in Tanzania also reflects the rising popularity and viewership of CAF competitions in East Africa, underlining the region’s growing role in the development and commercial success of African club football.
