Ramadhani Khamis Nassoro To Represent Tanzania At World Karate Championships in Hungary

Dar es Salaam, September 21 2025 — Ramadhani Khamis Nassoro, a top karate athlete, has been officially selected by the technical committee of the Tanzania Karate Federation (TSKF) to represent Tanzania at the World Karate Championships scheduled for November in Hungary.

The decision follows the conclusion of a comprehensive training course for both players and referees, which ended on September 20, 2025 at the Upanga Club in Dar es Salaam. The training and evaluation process was part of preparations organised by TSKF, emphasising skill development in both competition and officiating.

Tanzania has received a formal invitation to participate in the upcoming world event. The selection was announced shortly after a visit and seminar conducted by Shihan Ali Tarabeih – a retired karate champion, 7th Dan holder and current Chairman of the World Shotokan Federation – who led workshops covering Kihon, Kumite, Kata, and refereeing. Tarabeih’s seminar, held just days ago in Dar es Salaam, is believed to have played an important role in assessing local talent and reinforcing the standards expected for international competition.

With the official nomination of Nassoro, Tanzanian karate hopes to make a mark on the global stage this November, drawing on the experience gained from the recent training course and the guidance of Shihan Ali Tarabeih.
