Rakel Football Academy have been crowned champions of the U-15 category at the Femmco Football Championship August Camping 2026, completing a remarkable campaign with a perfect record, an unbeaten defence and an impressive attacking return.
Rakel FA dominated the U-15 league format, winning all their matches and finishing the competition with 12 goals scored and none conceded—a remarkable defensive record that underlined their superiority throughout the tournament.
The champions began their campaign with a convincing 2-0 victory over Radiance FA, before producing an even stronger attacking display in a 4-0 win against Ultimate FC.
Their momentum continued with another 2-0 victory over Sharp Striker, followed by a bye before they returned for the decisive final matchday. Rakel FA completed their perfect run with a commanding 3-0 victory over D’Pillars/Davis, sealing the U-15 title in style.
The achievement earned widespread praise from the tournament host Oluwafemi Adebayo Oladehinde, who described the team’s campaign as a demonstration of determination, discipline and hard work.
“Congratulations to all the winners and participating teams for showcasing talent, determination and the true spirit of grassroots football,” the host told Sports247.
He added that Rakel’s defensive record made their achievement even more impressive.
“This is a defining [display] of determination and hard work for a team to have won all their matches without conceding a goal.”
Rakel FA’s dominance was also reflected in the individual awards, with the champions claiming three major honours.
Abdulrahmon Ibrahim was named Most Valuable Player, while goalkeeper Fakeye Olumide received the Best Goalkeeper award. Rakel FA head coach Adeyinka Ogundeji was also recognised as the Best Coach of the tournament.
The Young Player of the Tournament award went to Aderemi Fashola of D’Pillars/Davis, highlighting the individual talents that emerged during the competition.
Speaking after the triumph, Coach Ogundeji expressed appreciation to the organisers and Rakel FA management while praising the unity within his squad.
“All thanks to the organisers and the management of Rakel FA. The team bond defines the true vision and the results are clearer. We will keep building from here as we still set our eyes on the U-17 category too.”
With five victories, 12 goals and a flawless defensive record, Rakel FA have set a high standard for grassroots football excellence at the Femmco Championship.
