Prudent League: FRSC Coach In High Spirit

The assistant coach Federal Road Safety Corps, Innocent Nwankwo said that his teams are ready and not in any way intimidated by the pedigree of his opponents at the Prudent Energy Handball Championship in Lagos.

The second phase of the Prudent Energy Handball Championship will kick off from 25th September to 7th October at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Complex, Rowe Park, Yaba.

Nwankwo said that the Road Safety teams have discovered their short comings and worked on every department of the teams.

“The safety teams are prepared to improve in our final phase, because for us we believe that the first phase has come and gone; we did our best but it is not enough”.

“The safety teams returned and analyzed the first phase, discovering a lot of shortcomings on all aspect of the games in the attack, defense, coaching crew and we also did a lot of post mortem, looking at what is ahead of us”, he said.

Nwankwo noted that “The coach crew has diagnosed the safety teams and then working on them. For now, the teams are not 100% perfect but however we know by the time the die cast, we’ll improve a lot. We are looking forward to an exciting tournament by the time we get to the final phase in Lagos”.

He further said they trained very hard irrespective of their positions on the table.

“For us, we don’t see our position as 3rd in the male category and 1st in the female category; we see our positions as last and that is why we we’ll go out stronger and more determined to improve whatever it is that must have been given to us as a result of the first half of the league.

“We are very confident that we’ll improve and we’ve trained and will continue to train till the last minutes before moving with the team,” he added.
