Key stakeholders, organizers, and fans of the country’s league football have expressed their commendation for the fresh initiatives that Propel Sports Africa is introducing to enhance the league experience.

One of the loudest voices of praise comes from the NPFL’s strategic partners, GTI Asset Management & Trust Limited.

The organization lauds Propel Sports Africa’s proactive steps in preparing for the Over-The-Top (OTT) live streaming of the elite league matches.

In a statement, Andrew Ekejiuba, Head of Media and Publicity at GTI/TNFF, commended Propel Sports Africa for their timely training of cameramen who will operate the AI cameras designated for live streaming across various match venues nationwide.

“GTI is highly impressed with Propel Sports Africa’s recent efforts in deploying and training young Nigerians across the country to operate these cutting-edge cameras at different match venues for the upcoming season.”

Ekejiuba revealed that the training commenced on August 5, 2023, in Lagos and extended to other locations throughout the nation.

GTI affirms its commitment to work collaboratively with the newly inaugurated board of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL), led by Gbenga Elegbeleye, to ensure a successful and seamless execution of the approaching season.

Nelson Ine, GTI’s Executive Director and also the project director of The Nigeria Football Fund (TNFF), emphasized the need for collective effort among all stakeholders to elevate the NPFL’s status.

“In the journey to elevate our elite league to global recognition, we call on all stakeholders to unite.

GTI stands ready to contribute more to NPFL’s success, and we encourage Corporate Nigeria and individuals to invest in NPFL, thereby fostering a brighter future for emerging football talents.”

Simultaneously, the NPFL has established a nine-member technical committee, led by former Super Eagles star Daniel Amokachi, to select the monthly NPFL Team of the Month.

The Team of the Month will comprise 11 players and a coach, with provisions for reserves, forming a complete squad of 18.

NPFL Chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye, shared that this initiative aims to enhance the players’ and coaches’ aspirational value and elevate the overall quality of play.

The committee, which includes respected journalists Mitchel Obi, Segun Agbede, and Deji Omotoyinbo, alongside NFF Technical Director Austin Eguavoen, Coach Manu Garba, Harrison Jalla, Coach Godwin Uwuah, and former NPFL side MFN director Davidson Adejuwon, has been invited to the 2023/24 season draws scheduled to take place in Lagos on Thursday.
