The youngster, who has represented Nigeria at U-16 level, is seen as one of the most promising talents emerging from West Africa.
His debut assist signals the start of what could be a defining chapter in his career.
With his pace, technical ability, and composure under pressure, Meliga looks poised to play a key role for Vålerenga as the season progresses.
Football observers in both Nigeria and Norway will now be watching closely as the teenage talent continues his steady rise in European football.
