Organisers of the ongoing fifth edition of Kudus Kasali Ileya Cup have promised smooth and flawless officiating during the impending final of the competition, which continues drawing rave reviews in Ikotun-Igando axis of Lagos State.
Sports247 reports that this assurance was given by the chief executive officer of Prince Gas Global Sports Concept, Gbadamosi Adebola Sulaiman, who provided an updated assessment of the competition after both semi-finals on Monday.
In reaching the last-four stage, the defending champions, Ologbonla FC kept hope alive for a third straight title conquest after dispatching Kings FC 5-3 on penalties after playing out 0-0 at regulation time to make their intent clear.
Similarly, Horobo FC defeated Kadima FC 1-0, while Future Stars FC got a 4-0 pounding of Treasure Island FC and Panatinacos FC had to do it the hard way by beating Believers Foundation FC 9-8 on penalties, following a pulsating 4-4 scoreline.
Sulaiman added that the competition, which is staged in conjunction with Kudus Kasali, also witnessed top grade professionalism and good conduct among all the teams, with their players maintaining strict discipline.
He promised that the organisers will also continue working hard to ensure a level playing ground for all participating teams, adding:
“There are no sacred cows. The referees have been instructed to ensure fair play and top quality officiating.”
