Kwara United forward, Wasiu Alalade, has declared the team’s readiness and determination ahead of their much-anticipated clash against Abakaliki FC in the final of the President Federation Cup, scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the MJ Arena in Lagos.
Alalade, who currently tops the goal-scoring chart in this year’s edition of the competition, spoke confidently following a light training session at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. The striker emphasized the team’s focus and desire to etch their names into the history books.
“We are in Lagos to make history and make our supporters proud,” Alalade said. “I want to assure football-loving Kwarans that we are fully committed to bringing this trophy home.”
He also addressed circulating rumours about his availability for the final, affirming that he is fully fit and ready for action.
The team’s training session on Saturday was led by Head Coach Tunde Sanni, who echoed Alalade’s optimism, stating that the entire squad is in peak condition both physically and mentally.
“All the players are in good shape and fully focused,” Sanni noted. “We are ready to fire on all cylinders come Saturday.”
Kwara United will be seeking their first-ever President Federation Cup title, and confidence appears high within the camp as they prepare to face the tournament’s surprise package, Abakaliki FC.
