Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has expressed confidence that Nottingham Forest can secure a top-four finish in the Premier League and qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.
The Nigeria international admitted the club was disappointed to miss out previously but insisted the experience has only strengthened the squad’s determination ahead of the new campaign.
“Nottingham Forest can finish in the top four. We were disappointed not to achieve it before, but I believe we’ll come back stronger next season,” Aina said.
The versatile full-back believes Forest have the quality, mentality and ambition to compete with England’s top clubs and secure a place in Europe’s elite club competition.
Aina noted that the team has learned valuable lessons from last season and is fully focused on achieving greater success.
“Sometimes things don’t happen because it’s simply not the right time. We’re motivated, we’ve learned from the experience, and we’re ready to push for the Champions League,” he added.
The Super Eagles star has become an important figure for Nottingham Forest with his consistency, defensive solidity and versatility across the backline.
As preparations continue for the new Premier League season, Aina remains optimistic that Forest can challenge for a top-four finish and deliver Champions League football to the City Ground.
