A highly enterprising midfielder-cum-defender, Precious Poweidou Nanakeme is blazing a trail for other Nigerian players to follow in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sports247 reports.
This is sequel to the giant strides he has been able to achieve in less than a year of his transfer to one of the East Euroean country’s most iconic clubs, NK Zvijezda Gradacac from Anchorage Field School (AFS) of FESTAC Town, Lagos.
Though the widely celebrated club now competes in the third-tier of Bosnia’s league system, they have picked up some decent results since the arrival of Nanakeme, who is fondly called ‘P5’ by his close associates.
The 22-year-old towering lad has also done quite well in combining his versatile ability as a defender and midfielder to help the squad churn out remarkable results that have positioned them for promotion at the end of this season.
The club’s current status has left their supporters hailing the arrival of Nanakeme, who eulogises his youth days coach, Goldenmouth Chilaka, for having given him the right foundation to grow during his budding days.
It was through Chilaka that Nanakeme got a link with UK-based FCV Academy, who operate ‘Gladiator Camps’ in Lagos in partnership with Dynaspro Aports Promotuobs, ably led by Oluseyi Olubode.
The link with FCV provided connections that eventually paved the way for Nanakeme to join his current club in the Bosnian city of Gradacac.
