Pre-Season Cup: Utility Sports Face FC Robo In Q-Final

Utility Sports of Surulere would face FC Robo Football Club of Mushin in one of the quarter-final matches of the ongoing Pre-Season football competition taking place at Eko Boys High School, Mushin, Lagos.

The much-anticipated tie would held on Friday at 4 pm.

Both teams have football pedigree as far as grassroots football is concerned in Lagos. It is going to be a tough game for both teams as the game is the talk of the town in Mushin and its environs.

Utility Sports who just won an invitational tourney recently in Ilaro, Ogun State would give their opponents a run for their money when both clash on Friday evening.

Although FC Robo is one of the favorite teams in the tournament need to double their effort knowing full well that anything short of victory would be a huge disappointment not to the coaching crew led by Kazeem Alabi popularly known as Ewe but entire fans of Mushin based club.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Utility Sports boss, Lawal Abiodun admitted that their match against FC Robo would be a tough one but noted that his players are in the best form of their lives to come out victorious.

“It is a game we need to give our best. FC Robo are a formidable team. We respect them but we are going to give them a tough match. We are not going underrate them but we would play them like a cup final,” he said.

On Thursday, defending champions, MS Success would battle Kings Spor FC. Two matches would be played on Saturday when Wilson International confronts Diadem FC, as Satech FC takes on Jumez FC in the second match of the day.

Chairman Organizing Committee, Musbau Oseni has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the participating teams before and during the competition. He said all the teams have done well in terms of discipline and urged the fans to shun social vices that can ruin the tournament.
