Platform Schools Set To Depart Nigeria For World Chess Championship

Nigeria flagbearers to the World School chess championship, Platform schools, Ipaja, Lagos, will depart the country tomorrow for Kazakhstan venue of the championship.

Amir Obe, Adejuwon Adekanye, Taiwo Popoola, Daniel Taiwo, and Isaac Oluborode all students of Platform schools are expected to be in action in the event.

The school is the country’s sole representative after they emerged victorious at the just school chess championship held recently.

The students have been in close camping preparing for the Kazakhstan battle and are hoping to the nation proud.

They will be competing against other students from over 30 schools
