Two Plateau State–born talents, Abdullahi Bewene and Lucky Ezeh, shared the spotlight in the Czech Fortuna Liga after going head-to-head in a tightly contested clash that ended in a goalless draw in Karviná.
Bewene, enjoying a remarkable breakthrough season with Baník Ostrava, once again featured from start to finish. The young right-back delivered another composed and confident performance, completing the full 90 minutes.
He has now made eight league appearances this season — with this match marking his seventh consecutive start, further solidifying his growing importance within the Baníček setup.

On the other side, Lucky Ezeh entered the match as a second-half substitute for MFK Karviná and made an immediate impact. His pace, movement, and attacking intent troubled the Baník defence, and he came close to scoring what would have been the winning goal, sending his effort narrowly wide. Ezeh has now featured in over 10 matches this campaign, continuing his steady rise in the Czech top flight.
After the final whistle, the Plateau connection came full circle as both players posed for a warm reunion photo with Sani Mukhtar, another Plateau-born football product currently living in the Czech Republic. The moment captured not just friendship, but the growing influence of Plateau State talents abroad.
A proud day for Plateau State — three sons of the soil, united on Czech soil, showcasing quality, ambition, and a shared football heritage.
