Pinnick Urges Eagles To Redeem Themselves In Freetown

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick has urged the Super Eagles to redeem themselves by beating Sierra Leone in Freetown.

The Super Eagles were held to a frustrating 4-4 draw by the Leone Stars at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin despite talking a 4-1 lead at halftime.

According to Pinnick while addressing the Players in the dressing room after the match said “Since I became the President of NFF, this is my worst Loss I have ever seen in my Life.

That Spirit of Competition is not there anymore. If I were the coach there are some people I will not select, because it hurt me a lot”.

He went further to urge the players to go to Sierra Leone and beat them with at least 4 unreplyed goals.
“We need to go to Sierra Leone and beat them 4-0 without any reply. From the start of the whistle to the end of the match”.

The Super Eagles despite the draw on Friday still top the Group with 7points from 3 matches played so far and a win for them in Freetown will see them qualify for AFCON in 2021 which would be held in Cameroon.
