The Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) outfit opted to use Lagos as venue of its maiden outing in West Africa on June 13th, which Schulze enthused will provide a night of multiple experiences for fight fans and analysts.

Schulze pointed at the historical importance of Lagos as a social hub, with a strong sports culture and presence of energetic fans, which make it a fitting venue for what has been tagged the biggest MMA event in West Africa’s history.

Schulze added that Nigeria is generally a country that exudes high levels of talent, passion and culture, which he further disclosed make him and all officials of PFL Africa ‘incredibly excited’ about taking their maiden event to Lagos.

While giving a detailed rundown of the forthcoming event, Schulze disclosed that the maiden night will feature bantamweight and lightweight title bouts, alongside showcase fights spotlighting top regional talent.

He disclosed that the main event will be a defining moment for Nigerian MMA, as Wasi ‘The Nigerian Jaguar’ Adeshina gets a featherweight challenge with Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Campos of Spain, who recently defeated Mathys Duragrin at PFL Madrid.

The co-main event will be a high-stakes lightweight clash between Patrick ‘Star Boi’ Ocheme of Nigeria and Cameroon’s Octave ‘The Bantu Warrior’ Ayinda, in a clash of two fighter’s seeking to make an early statement in the competition.

“Making our West African debut in Lagos is a major milestone for PFL Africa. Lagos is the perfect stage for this moment. Energy from fans, depth of talent, and opportunity to showcase all on a global platform make this event special,” said Schulze.
