PFAN Optimistic Of Better 2021 For Nigeria Football

Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria have expressed optimism on better and brighter prospects for Nigerian football in the new year, 2021.

In a new year message signed by PFAN General Secretary, Emmanuel Babayaro, MON on behalf of PFAN President Tijani Babangida, the board and entire members of the union home and diaspora, it describes the year 2021 as a year that offers unique opportunities for fresh starts, greater synergies, tolerance, and innovations.

According to Babayaro, “all eyes must be on the ball towards achieving a common goal, which is greatness for Nigerian Football.

” The Nigerian Footballer must shine, so also every other support service provider, the NFF, clubs, LMC, NWFL, NNL, NLO, the coaches, referees, managers, intermediaries, and journalists. Together we must make it work by imbibing the principles of shared prosperity in an environment of transparency and professionalism,” he remarked.

He admonished that the coronavirus is real and all related protocols must be taken seriously and respected. Adding that it is important to know that the existing pandemic is not a time to surrender, but rather a time for greater creativity, partnership, transparency, and inclusiveness.

” The lessons of 2020 must serve as learning points and a fulcrum for a better 2021. must be built. Our special congratulations go to The BOT chairman Harrisson Jalla and the BOT Secretary, Austin Popo. And special recognition must also be given to Hon. Tajudeen Ajide, as well as, the people’s president Tijani Babangida, MON, for giving us a stronger and united union,” he said.

” We also specially congratulate Daniel Amokachi MON, Special Adviser to President Muhammad Buhari on sports, Augustine Eguavoen, Technical Director NFF and Davidson Owunmi, the newly appointed CEO of LMC,” he said

The message further laud Hon. Minister for Sports and Youths Development, Sunday Dare, for the very special relationship footballers are currently enjoying under his tenure. PFAN also thank the Nigeria Football Federation for its consistent support towards the union before, during, and after the great merger.

It conclusively urged all members of the football community to celebrate and enjoy responsibly. While further advising that concerted efforts are geared towards inspiring the next generation of footballers through dedicated and passionate service provision to all members.
