Nigeria international player, Peter Olayinka has equalled the record for most appearances for Czech side, Slavia Praha in European Cups following the team victory against Panathinaikos.
Olayinka joined the Czech first league in 2018 on a four year contract and has since made himself a cult hero at the club with this achievement.
He took to his social media account to celebrate the feat, “Today I played my 150th game for Slavia Praha against Panathinaikos and equalled the record for most appearances for Slavia in European cups.”
As for his international career, because of his talent, there were numerous discussions about making Olayinka the first foreign player of the Albania national football team.
Olayinka himself said that he was willing to play for Albania if he got the Albanian passport. However, in September 2019, he was nominated for an international friendly match between Nigeria and Brazil.
