PANASA Urges Registered Players To Commence Visa Application To Nigeria

The Pan African Scrabble Association (PANASA) has directed registered players based outside Nigeria to commence visa application process ahead of the inaugural President’s Cup and PANASA/ Winifried Awosika Foundation, AYSC.

Both continental tournaments are billed to hold in Lagos, Nigeria between the 24-28 of August, 2023.

According to PANASA President, Mr Adekoyejo Adegbesan, he advised all intending registered players and officials travelling to Nigeria for both tournaments to begin the visa application process as it has a time frame of 14 days.

” All intending players who require visas into Nigeria should commence that (process) now. The timeframe to apply for visa on arrival is now (today) since the approval letter that is issued from 48hrs after the initial application has a life of 14 days.”

A total of 178 players across 11 countries: Kenya, Botswana, Liberia, Gambia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Cameroon, Uganda, United States and Nigeria registered for the two tournaments which has been regarded as a scrabble festival in the Africa.
