Oyekola Vows to End Soja Boy’s Career After Signing Rematch Contract

Nigerian boxer Ridwan “Scorpion” Oyekola has officially signed the contract for his much-anticipated rematch against Tosin “Soja Boy” Osaigbovo, with the showdown scheduled for August 30, 2026, in Lagos under De-Lad’s Boxing Promotions.

The rematch comes after their first meeting, in which Osaigbovo claimed a hard-fought eight-round split decision victory. The result generated widespread debate among boxing fans, with many believing Oyekola had done enough to win the contest.

Speaking after signing the contract, Oyekola issued a bold warning to his rival.
“Soja Boy, I will end your career,” he declared.

The heated rivalry has continued to grow since their first encounter, adding more anticipation to the August clash, which is expected to be one of the biggest domestic boxing events of the year.

Osaigbovo, meanwhile, will be aiming to reaffirm his superiority over Oyekola as he seeks to bounce back following his defeat to Taiwo “Esepo” Agbaje in the WBA Africa lightweight title fight earlier this year.

With both fighters determined to settle old scores, fans are expecting another explosive contest when they meet again in Lagos on August 30
