Osun Utd Resumes Training As Government Iterates Its Commitment To Players Welfare

Osun Utd resumes from its three weeks break embarked upon at the end of last season following a positive season.

The players converged at the mainbowl of Osogbo Township Stadium as instructed with opening day proceedings.

While addressing the players and officials before the light work initiated by the head coach, Seye Ajayi, the club boss, Mr Rotimi Dunmoye noted that it’s a new dawn in the history of the club and all hands must be on deck to carry on with the mandate.

“I want to welcome you all back to the club after the sallah break. Let’s congratulate ourselves for not remaining in the third tier league. I appreciate your collective efforts for the feat.

“We will not rest but continue to raise the dust untill we are back to where we suppose to be. Promotion is the goal this season. The government is taking your welfarism with seriousness, I am assuring you that there will be improvements in your remunerations and everyone will be happy.” The Sports Council boss noted.

In a swift reaction, the head coach of Osun Utd, Seye Ajayi appreciates the efforts of the government and the managements for supporting the team in its quest to achieve its mandate.

“It’s another season and we are delighted to be back in Nigeria National League, many thanks to the state government for all they do. We shall keep asking for more as we too are set to deliver more.

“I am therefore charging the players to sit tight or be booted out. There will be new faces joining us shortly and we will reckon with those that remain consistent with their performance.”

Meanwhile, the club welcome new assistant coach Adeniyi Kolawole’Keshi’ who replaces Akin Oyedunmola to the fold. Oyedunmola who assisted Seye Ajayi has been deployed to Osun Babes. The training continues as invited players are expected to hit the camp in due course.
