Osun Football Association Boss Wants More Private Sector Support For Football Development In The State

The Osun State Football Association Chairman, Otunba Razaq Ishola Mustapha has called on the private sector to be more involved in the development of Football in the state.

The United Kingdom trained lawyer further explained that the contribution of private investors in Osun Football will boost Football generally in the country, discovery of more talents, reduce crime rate and increase brand loyalty.

The former Special Adviser on Sports to the former Governor of Osun State told FUBF that the Osun State FA are in talks with major brands for a potential mega money sponsorship deal that will cover most of the footballing activities in the state.

” We are working hard to get sponsorship for Football activities in the state. We are in talks with a host of potential sponsors, both home and abroad and very soon we shall get to a conclusion.

” We are committed to the dream of achieving alot for Football in Osun despite the challenges we have now. The State Youth League will commence as soon as we get past the Corona Virus pandemic issue, we also have great plans for women’s football in the following months and the good thing is that we have been able to encourage more women’s football teams to register for the Federation Cup this year, it has never happened before.

” We have built a conducive atmosphere where we have a good relationship with various grassroot football clubs in the state, and also created a data base for them, because we believe that they are foundation of the round leather game anywhere in the world, they are indeed the future of football.

The Osun State FA Supremo finally called on all Football stakeholders in the State to work hand-in-hand with his administration to move football forward in the state.
