Sports247 reports that Nsofor, who played for Inter Milan and Chievo Verona of Italy at the height of his career, reckoned that Osimhen is not getting the attention he deserves simply because he is not playing in one of Europe’s big five leagues.
While acknowledging the status of Galatasaray as one of Turkey’s biggest clubs, Nsofor opined that Osimhen has to make a big money move to a high-profile club this summer in order to rank high among the elite class of players he belongs to.
The former Enyimba of Aba forward, who was initially part of Nigeria’s 2005 under-20 squad, added that the only thing separating Osimhen from the very top of football is the possibility of him winning at the highest level in Europe.
‘The Rave of The Moment’ reckoned further that, for Osimhen to reach the point where he would be truly regarded as an outstanding global player, he needs to join a club with which he can win the UEFA Champions League in the coming season.
Nsofor told Brila FM: “Victor Osimhen has done enough at Galatasaray. If he truly wants to become the best striker in the world, then he must move to a club that can compete seriously for the UEFA Champions League
“Galatasaray is a big club, but when you talk about winning the UEFA Champions League, they are not among the favourites. Osimhen is already at the level where he should be competing with the very best strikers every single season.”
