Sports247 gathered that Gala refused to put a particular date on the expected return to action of Osimhen, who had successful surgery on his fractured forearm at the start of this week.
Although the Istanbul-based Turkish Super Lig club confirmed that the 2023 African Football of The Year had surgery at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital on Monday, the club and their head of medicals, Dr. Yener Ince did not mention his return date.
A message from the Turkish champions noted, “Victor Osimhen underwent a successful operation performed by our club doctor, Op. Dr. Yener Ince. We send our best wishes to our player and hope he returns to the pitch as soon as possible.”
Sports247 recalls that Osimhen, who has 19 goals in 29 games this season, earlier projected during a Twitch livestream session with popular social media influencer, Carter Efe, that he should be back playing in five to six weeks.
However, Galatasaray are playing safe before making any affirmation about his recovery timeline and the club’s doctor simply opted for an official statement that read in part: “Victor Osimhen, underwent a successful operation.
“His recovery will be monitored daily, and our medical team will do everything necessary to ensure his return to the pitch as soon as possible. Updates will be shared with the public by our club throughout the process.”
