Galatasaray have received a boost as their talismanic striker, Victor Osimhen, has returned to full training following an ankle injury sustained earlier this month while on international duty with Nigeria.
The 26-year-old missed recent fixtures — including the Super Lig clash with Eyüpspor and the UEFA Champions League match versus Eintracht Frankfurt — as the club opted for caution in his recovery.

Galatasaray are now aiming for Osimhen’s comeback around September 30, ahead of a crucial Champions League group stage encounter with Liverpool.
His return is seen as vital not only for Galatasaray’s European ambitions but also Nigeria’s hopes in the ongoing World Cup qualifying campaign.
There has also been recent controversy. Rumours circulated that Osimhen had chosen club priorities over national duty during his injury layoff.
According to Turkish journalist Naci Küçük, such comments — including a false report attributed to Asamoah Gyan — demoralised the forward. Gyan later denied the claim.
For now, Galatasaray are exercising restraint: his participation in upcoming domestic Super Lig fixtures remains unlikely, with fitness the main determinant ahead of the big European showdown.
