Birmingham City defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel may welcome out of favour Nigerian-born midfielder, Bamidele Alli (Dele) as a new teammate of his at the English Championship outfit in the January transfer window, Sports247 reports.
While Osayi-Samuel is settling down fast at the second-tier club that once had former Super Eagles’ striker, Obafemi Martins on their cards, he surely would like to have someone with Nigerian blood in his team.

Should Alli make the move to Birmingham, he may seek motivation for his career revival from Osayi-Samuel, who shot to limelight with Queens Park Rangers of England and played for Fernebahce of Turkey before moving to Ewood Park.
The search for a strong source of inspiration would be key for Alli, as the former MK Dons and Tottenham Hotspur dazzler is currently clubless and desperately in search of a new lease of life for his once-bubbling career.
In September, Alli left his initial source of hope at Como of Italy, as his contract was terminated after just one game, in spite of having signed an initial 18-month contract.
That came after he was released by Everton in June 2024 and, despite posting several videos of himself in training, he is still without a club.
At 29 years old, Alli’s future appears to be beclouded, but the possibility of linking forces with Osayi-Samuel at Birmingham has been cited among some new options coming his way.
A report by Tribal Football revealed: “The former Spurs midfielder has reportedly been speaking with a number of EFL sides, including big spenders Wrexham and Birmingham in the Championship, as he reevaluates his future.”
