Onyekuru set for improved contract as Galatasaray seek to extend loan deal.

Galatasaray attacker Henry Onyekuru is set to stay in Turkey beyond the end of his current loan deal.

 

The Nigeria International joined Galatasaray on loan from Everton last year till the end of the current campaign, and the Turkish Super Lig leaders are eager to pay €2m to prolong his loan deal till the end of next campaign.

The 21-year-old has been in blistering form since joining in the summer, scoring 13 league goals and making three assists in 29 league matches.

According to reports on Turkey daily, Hurriyet, The Yellow-Reds will pay Everton €1.2m loan fee and also hand Onyekuru an annual salary of €800,000.

The Aspire academy graduate joined the Toffees after a successful spell in Belgium with Eupen where he scored 28 league goals.

Onyekuru, who is part of Nigeria’s 25-man list for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) made his international debut in a 3-0 win over Togo on June 1, 2017.
