Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika has reflected positively on the just-concluded football season, calling it a “good one” both personally and for his club, Club Brugge.
The 23-year-old, who played a pivotal role in Brugge’s domestic and European campaigns, is already setting his sights on the 2024/25 season with determination.

Onyedika also shared light-hearted moments about facing compatriot Tolu Arokodare, who plays for Genk, in the Belgian Pro League. Describing their matchup as a “husband and wife” relationship, he humorously acknowledged the friendly rivalry, especially after Brugge defeated Genk in a key league fixture.
“It’s always a great feeling to go head-to-head with a fellow Nigerian,” Onyedika said, “but winning is even better.”
He contributed consistently throughout the season with over 50 appearances, proving himself as a mainstay in the midfield.
Now, with eyes set on more silverware, Onyedika promises to return stronger and help Brugge push even further next term.
