Onuachu Deserves Nigeria’s Invitation – Andersen

FC Midtjylland of Denmark striker, Paul Onuachu has received another word of congratulations on his recent invitation to the Super Eagles, as his coach in the Danish top-flight club, Kenneth Andersen says the lad truly deserves his call-up.

 

The USA ’94 World Cup star took another look at Onuachu’s inclusion in the Eagles’ 23-oplayer roster rolled out on Monday, and reckoned that his ward’s national team call-up is long overdue.

Sports247.ng can report further that Andersen is thrilled with the fresh development, which the Denmark ex-international striker, who was very famous for his rifle style of celebrations, believes will add quality to Onuachu’s performances with the Herning-based SuperLiga outfit.

Andersen used the moment to heap more accolades on the 24-year-old Onuachu, who has 17 goals and five assists in 29 appearances across all competitions for the club so far this season.

Onuachu, who is Nigeria’s leading scorer abroad, with 14 goals from 21 games so far this season, has rained goals for FCM over the past three seasons, which Andersen believes he can now replicate for Nigeria, starting with his month’s games against Seychelles and Egypt.

Andersen added: ”He has played well for a long time, and it is deserved that he gets the chance. ”
