“It was a special goal for me,” Onuachu said. “Sometimes strikers have to improvise, and luckily it worked perfectly. I also want to thank my teammate for the wonderful cross that set it up.”
Onuachu’s form has been vital for Trabzonspor this season, with his goals helping the team secure important points. He emphasized that personal achievements only matter when they contribute to the club’s success.
“For me, the most important thing is that the team won and we got the three points. Goals are good, but winning matches for the club is the priority,” he explained.
Fans have since flooded social media with praise for Onuachu’s bicycle kick, with some describing it as a “goal of the season” contender.
The forward, who has also featured prominently for the Super Eagles, said he remains motivated to keep improving.
“I want to keep scoring, keep working hard, and continue helping the team. It’s been a good start, but there is still more to achieve this season,” Onuachu concluded.
