Omeruo rates La Liga high, wants to remain in Madrid

As his side get set to battle SD Huesca this weekend in the last match of the Spanish La Liga season, RCD Leganes of Spain and Eagles defender, Kenneth Josiah Omeruo has stated that he is looking to finish the season strong after doing well this season with the modest Spanish outfit.

In a chat with Sports247, Omeruo also stated that he would have to do more to learn Spanish if he makes his loan move permanent, even as he remains happy to have proven himself, especially with many thinking he had nothing to offer.

“The Spanish league is amazing, I think I have found a place where I can play comfortably, the good thing is that my coach understands English”

“If I stay, I would have to do more to learn Spanish. Now am on loan and my priority is to keep improving in every game”.

“I’ve done very well and proud of how far I have come and people thought they had seen the last of me but I worked hard, kept my head cool. For me now, the objective is to finish strong. It’s not just important how I start but also how I finish”.

Omeruo and Leganes would be looking to end the season with yet another win as they occupy 13th position on the log table with 45 points from 37 matches.
