Former Nigeria international Jide Olugboji has heaped praise on Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle after observing a marked improvement in the team’s ability to create scoring opportunities.
Speaking about Nigeria’s recent friendlies, Olugboji highlighted the smoother attacking play that has replaced the usual nervy buildup.

“This is the first time that I’ve seen a Nigerian team play where you’re not having a heart attack or trepidation and thinking, ‘Where are the chances? Where will the chances come from?’ They were playing, we were getting chances, we were getting in the box, and it happened in London as well,” Olugboji said.
“So I think it’s a good thing, it’s a good start, and we should keep going along these lines and give them all the support. I’m sure that come the end of the year, the team will do us proud.”
Olugboji went on to call on fans to rally behind the Franco-Malian coach, believing that continued support will help the Eagles convert improved performances into positive results by year’s end.
