A frustrated Olomu FC eliminated from the 8th Edition of Ibro-Peckham football competition after 1-1 draw against Mama of Africa on last group games in Group C at Champions Arena, NUD Playing Ground Olose, Ifo.
The 7th Edition Finalist and 2023 champions missed a chance to go through the “group of death” after finishing forth in Group C with two draws, one loss from three games. They end in the bottom of the table with just two points.

After a commendable second-place finish in the previous edition. The 2023 champion couldn’t pound on that despite being fueled by the unwavering determination of its newly employed Head Coach, Anisere Idowu.
Mama of Africa started the game from an inspired form from their 2-0 victory over Evolution SA on Matchday-2, produce a series of brilliant key passes that provide the early goal scored by Komolafe Samuel in the opening 3-minutes into the game from a volley.
With several tactical substitutions from Olomu FC , they restore parity in the 53rd minute when Oloyede Sodiq pounded on defensive error to score his second goal from three games for his side.
In the second half, Chelsea’s Aggie Beever-Jones had a goal disallowed for offside after rounding goalkeeper Faye Kirby, and the striker also saw an effort drop just wide a few minutes later.
The Santos Boys captain, Fatai Yusuf wrong clearance could have resulted to an own goal but hit the crossbar before final clearance off the goal area in the last minute of the game.
By avoiding defeat, the 2023 Champion Olomu FC has been eliminated from the 8th Edition of Ibro-Peckham football competition after finishing bottom of Group C where Onitigbo United and Mama of Africa (Santos Boys) earn the two slots in the “group of death”.
The Round of 16 is scheduled to kickoff November 26th 2025 with Matchweek-3 to end on Sunday 23rd November, 2025.
