Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fears for his job for signing Ighalo…

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fears for his job after the club were only able to land two signings in January instead of the four he wanted, according to the Mirror.

The Old Trafford side secured a £48million permanent deal for midfielder Bruno Fernandes and a last-gasp six-month loan for striker Odion Ighalo, but those signings fell short of what Solskjaer had hoped for at the start of the window.

The Norwegian handed chief executive Ed Woodward a list of players he wished for in December but only one permanent deal has left the first-team squad thin on numbers.

Solskjaer will lead his side against Chelsea on Monday night as they bid to rise from ninth spot and avoid a lowest-ever Premier League finish.

The failed deals have left Solskjaer concerned the club are starting to lose faith in him by not investing in the players he is after.
