Instead of joining the roll call of worried comments trending after South Africa’s stunning form, Aina simply disclosed that the Eagles’ players knew all along that the impending matches would both be difficult to win.
He disclosed, “We know it’s a tough, tough task ahead of us, but we’re all ready to play these games and win them. They are two tough games ahead of us, but we believe we can win them.”
The former Chelsea, Hull City and Fulham of England right-wing-back, who previously had two stints with AS Torino of Italy, added that the players need support and motivation from their fans in order to turn the pressure around and put heat on South Africa.
Aina concluded, “First and foremost, we need to work on the pitch, and then we have to believe. We are ready for the challenge, and we’re looking forward to it.
“Two games of football and we’re going to try our best, as we are looking forward to winning both of them. Just keep believing and support us.”
