Having founded Tripple 44 with the highest degree of moral value and outstanding reputation, Okuku is creating a football club that carries the identity of its owner which embodies great character, fantastic mentality and living a life worth emulating.

Working as hard as possible and chasing constant improvement, knowing that everything and anything is possible for as long as no one outworks you.

A club that does not only produce quality football players but quality characters, being a very good and polite human being, people who are good examples in the society.

“It’s quite unfortunate that it’s true that no matter how good you train a child, the decision the child makes determines who he turns out to be at the end of the day. Our parents could train us as hard as they want, they can decide to be tough on us as much as they like but whatever the child decides to do remains the ultimate,” he said.

“I also know for a fact that a parent could give birth to 6 children and their characters will not be the same. There may be one or two bastards among them,” he added.

‘I asked a player, I said if you had arrived Tripple 44 this way would I have signed you ? he said no, if you had gone on trial this way would they have signed you, he said no. Now you’re on a time bomb. I know they say a child is raised by the community and not the parents alone.”

“I remember receiving several slaps from brothers and people who who knows and some who don’t even know me while I was a kid when they see me in the wrong places but the world has changed a lot, no one dare touch another man’s child and we now raise spoilt brats with zero sense of shame and accountability.”

“I know a lot of academies don’t care about the characters of their players for as long as they can make money off them, this isn’t the case for me because Tripple44 cares about the characters of every single boy that puts on their shirts, every single boy that goes through the system, for us demonstrating good character at the club and beyond is non negotiable.”

“As I see it, you do not represent yourself alone, you represent your family and also most importantly the academy you come from.”

“I also know a lot of Nigerian coaches pays little or no attention to player’s character development, I would suggest you pay more attention to that because that may determine if all your effort and investment would be thrown into the bin or not, this will save you a lot of time and money.”

“Parents needs to raise their kids right as well.”

“Do not put financial pressure on your child too early, this may damage him, it may also take your sense of authority away from you as a parent and you need it to keep your child grounded as much as possible especially in their teenage years.”

“Don’t just throw them out and welcome them when they start to make money, good characters will take them places, prioritize this,” he advised as he concluded.
