Fast-rising basketball player, Stan Okoye has enthused that Nigeria has a readily available stock of talented young players that can assure the national team, D’Tigers of a rosy future ahead.
Okoye has told sports247.ng in an exclusive chat that there will be no fear of any shortage of players committed to leading Nigeria to dominance in the game, ever after the current veterans quit.
Okoye reckoned that their is a large array of talent standing by for the stars of now to hand over the torch, as he believes a new generation of talents are coming through already.
Okoye said: “I can assure you that many young players are around to receive the baton, once our present star players are ready to step aside.
“Conversations have been held among players in the team and there’s no reason to fear about who will carry on the job.
“In fact, we should believe that the country will not slide out of reckoning and we will not slump, because the senior players are playing mentorship roles as expected.”
