Ogunsakin battled from a set down to secure a 4–6, 6–1, 6–4 victory, marking his second career Round 1 win at the J300 level.
The win continues an impressive run for the Nigerian teenager, who has been in fine form in Egypt.
Notably, this result comes just days after Ogunsakin overcame the same opponent in the final of the J200 Africa Regional Championship, where he triumphed 1–6, 7–6, 6–3 to claim the title.
His back-to-back victories over Raguin underline his growing dominance and resilience on the junior circuit.
With momentum firmly on his side, Ogunsakin now advances to the second round, where he will face Spain’s third seed, Tito Chavez, in what promises to be a tougher test.
The Ekiti-born prospect continues to show remarkable progress, reinforcing his status as one of Nigeria’s brightest young talents on the international tennis stage.
