Highly enterprising whiz-kid, Ogooluwa Lawal stole the show on Sunday at Sansan Field, Igando, Lagos, as his team won this year’s edition of Prince Gas U10 Cup and he went home with several personal awards.

Sports247 reports that the youngster, fondly called ‘Ogo’ by his pals, got the only goal of the match that gave Super Accurate Football Academy of Ikotun a 1-0 win over Sharp Strikers FC of Igando in the day’s pulsating final.
A huge crowd gathered to view the epic match at the sandy expansive pitch near the royal father’s palace, and the boys of Coach Oseni Idris (aka Super) ensured it turned out to a very historic game that will be remembered for many days to come.
Just one goal in the first half made all the difference, as Ogo struck the bullseye from a fast counter attack, and sealed the victory that fetched another glittering trophy for the closet of Coach Super, whose team has an affiliation with Remo Stars FC of Ikenne.
While the entire Super Accurate squad and their coach relish how they were able to win the competition for the second year running, Ogo was smiling all the way home with a clutch of personal laurels that will delight his parents.
The personal laurels came after the youngster emerged top scorer of the competition as well as the most valuable player and had a gold medal added to it from his team’s victorious outing.
Dramatically, Coach Super’s boys got Sunday’s victory on the pitch that is commonly referred to as their opponent’s home ground, as many of Sharp Strikers’ players live within the Igando axis.
“We went for an away match, but we came back home with victory,” the boys chorused as they ran in an exciting ‘rally’ all the way back to their base at Community Primary School, Ikotun.
