The Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), under the chairmanship of Otunba Tajudeen Akinyemi and the State’s FA led by Otunba Dele Ajayi, has moved to strengthen ties for the growth of the round leather game in the Sunshine State.
Talks of improve relations and cooperation formed the nucleus of discussions during a courtesy visit to the Caring Heart Games Village office of ODSFA by the EXCO of the Ondo FA on Thursday.
In his welcome remarks at the ODSFA boardroom, Akinyemi said: “We are so pleased for this your visit, honestly we are partners in progress. Together we can achieve more in terms of results for Sunshine Stars, Queens, Rising as well as grassroots football developments and talent discovery.
“I want to thank you for playing your roles in our activities even when the Agency have been constrained in fulfilling its obligations to you fully. I want to promise you that things can only improve now between us from now on.” Akinyemi stated
On his part, Ajayi noted that the Ondo FA is one big family with no division nor faction before assuring ODSFA of more support and cooperation moving forward.
“I want to assure you that there is no division within our ranks and no faction in the Ondo FA, our operations are in line and accordance with the NFF, so we are one big family.
“In Ondo State, the FA and ODSFA need to work the talk of partners in progress; we are ready to do more and we want you to play your part. In collaboration with us and the sports council you need to work on the stadium and also recruit good players early so football lovers in the state can have it better this season.” Ajayi implored
Before delivering the vote of thanks, ODSFA’s Board Member and Sunshine Stars’ Director, Prince Babatunde Ogunja revealed to the FA that the Agency is actively working on having a better team than all in the state can be proud of from next season.
Other members of ODSFA management in attendance are Board Members; Mr. Dare Ogunleye, Mrs. Evelyn Lebi, Admin Secretary, Mr. Femi Iwajomo, DFA Mr. Banji Kuroloja, Accountant, Mr. Taiwo Akinnuosutu and Sunshine Stars’ Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Oluwole.
The FA team include; Chairman of Chairmen, Mr. Gabriel Aborowo (Olusho), Board Member, Apostle Samuel Patani, Secretary, Chief Ibikun Adetoyinbo, Media Officer, Mr. Dayo Johnson, Ass. Secretary, Tolu Akinfemisoye.
